Requirements for Low Cost Remote Computer Tablet and Cell Phone Support on Oahu
You must live on Oahu (duh)
Internet access
You must be able to login or I’ll need to make a house call or onsite office visit here in Honolulu Hawaii or anywhere on Oahu. My house call and office visit rates are $95.00 per hour. Don’t worry. I’m one of the best.
You must download and install the remote computer software (I tested this on my own computers and Android cell phone first don’t worry it’s safe and secure). I can do this for you but I would charge you for a house call or office visit. My house call and office visit rates are $95.00 per hour. Don’t worry. I’m one of the best. I know I said that twice but I’m one of the only trained teachers that’s also a computer expert and I know the importance of repetition. That’s also why I’m in such high demand for computer, cell phone and tablet tutoring and training. I’m known for my positive, hands on approach.

If you get my voicemail leave a message or better yet send a text. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to text you’re not alone. I’ve given lessons on that as well. Half of my clients are seniors and individuals and the other half are small business owners.
“Rick Kirkham is one of those rare computer geeks with people skills.” John Bertrand teacher.
To Be Honest…
I’d rather make a house call or an onsite business call here on Oahu for computer lessons or repair. However, it’s not always easy to get to my computer clients when they need me. If an in home computer client calls at 3 PM from Hawaii Kai with a question or computer or cell phone challenge, it’s a lot easier to see the screen to solve the problem than have my in home computer client try to describe what’s going on. Believe me I know having spent a few years doing that. From there it may be a simple remote computer or cell phone fix or we schedule an appointment for a house call or office visit.

Your Computer Will Break Down It’s a Fact
90% of breakdowns of Windows PCs and Apple computers are due to poor maintenance. Computer repair and even computer maintenance can be expensive. The primary cause of this expense is the not broken don’t fix it attitude.
Do You:
Get the oil changed in your car? Why? It’s still running isn’t it? Haven’t you already spent a lot of money on your car?
Check the air pressure on your tires? Why? Are they flat? Do you really have time for that?
Put sunscreen on? Why? Do you have skin cancer? Isn't that a waste of money?
Are you getting my point?
Why would you treat your computers any different!? Doesn’t it cost more to fix your car when you DON’T have the oil changed? Your computer is the same way! That’s why I make house calls and office onsite calls for my computer, cell phone and tablet clients every four to six months here in Honolulu Hawaii or anywhere on Oahu. Text or call me 224.1870 if you have a computer and live on Oahu. I’ll see problems before you do and stop them from crashing your computer. It’s why I named my website, which I designed myself using my automation programming skills, ProactiveComputerSupport

Rick I Have Antivirus Software. That Takes Care of Everything Right?
You’re not the first person to think that don’t worry, but sadly no. Think of antivirus software as car insurance. It’s only a small part of the solution. The modern computer viruses and spyware come into your computer disguised as normal software (trojans). They’re let into your computer by your antivirus software. The computer viruses then either take over your internet browser, such as Chrome, Safari, FireFox and Edge and
Record what you do online Cause pop ups even on your desktop Redirect you to sites hackers are paid for possibly causing more viruses and spyware to download into your computer! Scare you into calling the hackers and being scammed (I had an in home computer client show me a check he had written out for $3000 to computer virus scammers when he called me for a second opinion).
Or they download into your Windows PC or Apple computer. The modern computer viruses mask themselves as actual programs (trojans) so your antivirus software ignores the malicious software.
Recently I removed a difficult search engine virus from an Apple computer and a Windows search virus which had loaded itself onto a PC and stayed right on the desktop of the computer. The Windows PC client had good antivirus software, which had been replaced by a rogue antivirus program as part of the infection. The Apple computer had no virus protection, until I installed free antivirus software (included in your healthy computer flash drive) after removing the virus, and had an up to date operating system.
Computer antivirus software does not:
Remove temporary internet files Remove cookies Remove PUPs (possibly unwanted programs) from the memory of your computer used to run programs and videos (thus causing buffering)
All the above items contribute to the slowing down of your computer. The above items also contribute to increasing wear and tear of your computer since it has to work harder to perform normal tasks. It’s like having to put your gas pedal all the way to the floor just to go 20 mph.
Nor is There A Single Program to Do All of The Above!
Despite what the multimillion dollar advertising departments of these huge software computer protection companies want you to believe there is not a single program to do all of the above. If there was it would take up a lot of memory on your computer used to prevent buffering of your videos and drastically slow down your internet and web pages loading.

I charge $95.00 per hour with a $75.00 per hour cash discount to troubleshoot problems, repair computers and remove dangerous, identity stealing, computer viruses and spyware. There’s even someone out there who just wipes your computer completely so you lose all your work, photos and purchased software such as Office. Don’t worry, some of those poor souls are my in home computer clients now and I’m taking good care of them.
That’s why I’m making this Kirkham's Healthy Computer Keeper E-Kit Flash Drive available to you.

Sorry But Antivirus Software is Simply Not Enough
I once had a guy say to me, “I don’t think I have spyware. My computer’s not acting any different.”
I replied, “It would be pretty bad spyware if your computer did act different.”
I see my in office computer clients every four to six months. I …
Remove PUPs (Possibly Unwanted Programs) from the memory. This memory is used to run software, the operating system, websites and streaming videos.
Freeing up this memory makes everything LOAD FASTER!
Clean out temporary internet files
Delete tracking cookies
Remove spyware before it steals your or your clienteles’ information
I’ll see something or hear something that may mean nothing to you, yet may be an important symptom of an issue which would cause your computer to crash to me.
I’ll see something which may indicate to me you have spyware in your computer. Most spyware bypasses your antivirus software disguised as normal programs nowadays.
Many of my mobile support clients tell me it’s like HAVING A BRAND NEW COMPUTER after a professional cleaning!
Sometimes the computer is twice as fast as it was before cleaning it. No, there isn’t one single piece of software to do this for you regardless of what the international companies with multimillion dollar advertising budgets try to convince you of their single product solution. It’s the right combination of various applications combined with experienced, professional eyes.
I’ve gained the respect of my peers for my tenacity in removing items which slow down my clients’ computers and removing viruses and spyware before they become issues.
Backups and Syncing
I’ll help you setup automatic backups to the cloud or your external backup devices. Syncing between team members, computers and mobile phones is a MUST nowadays. A paper calendar simply will not suffice in the 21st century business market.
Getting the Most from Your Mobile Phone
Scan business cards instead of inputting all that information by hand
Keep your schedule updated. You’re setting up at least some appointments off site. You need to see the up to date company calendar. Even if it’s just you and your spouse running your Oahu based business, mistakes can be made without an up to date calendar costing you money and giving you negative word of mouth advertising.
Save time and just put it in your phone once. Like any computer you should only have to type something in once. I know which apps to use to make your mobile life simple.
“I left that file at the office!”, is something you should never have to say with the right syncing system for your mobile phone.

I Know The Right Free Services and Software
I’m very frugal. Having been in computers since 1993 (no the gray hair is not from being married), I know what free services and software are as good as or sometimes better than paid services and software. Just as importantly, I know what not to buy and what not to download for free.
For example, did you know OneDrive, Microsoft’s free and paid cloud storage has free Microsoft applications which look and work almost exactly like the computer based Office 365 version?
Did you know OpenOffice is the most popular free Microsoft compatible office suite?
Did you know Google Drive, Google’s free cloud storage has online applications which can import and export Microsoft Office files?
This is why having me, Rick Kirkham, as your primary computer consultant and repair expert will save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars!
